As a teenager and in my early 20’s I did a lot of photography. I never understood all the clever stuff, but grasped the basics and had a lot of fun being the ‘snapper’ at parties, on holiday and just taking pics in everyday events.
Those were the days, of course when it was manual and you used ‘film’ and sent them off to be developed and had to wait ages for them to be returned in the post.
You never knew quite what you would get back and many times you ended up with a surprise of a lot of good pics, or a load of old tosh or occasionally someone else’s holiday/baby/wedding altogether.

Now, we have digital, and I for one absolutely love its instant nature. No more waiting!
I’ve had a succession of fairly cheapy cameras over the umm… 10(?) years or so digital has been around. But now, I’ve had a lovely birthday treat of a half decent camera. It’s fabulous and I’ve spent the past 24 hours clicking away happily, fiddling with knobs and generally working out what does what.

So a few results for you…
